Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the questions we hear most often. If you don't see yours, give us a call.

Getting Started

Are you accepting new patients?

Yes! We're always happy to welcome new patients of all ages. To get started, give us a call at (405) 341-8518 or stop by during office hours.

What should I expect at my first visit?

Your first appointment includes a thorough exam, a set of digital X-rays, and a conversation about your dental history and goals. We'll review what we see together and recommend a plan that fits your needs and your budget. Most first visits take about an hour.

How early should I arrive?

Please arrive about 15 minutes before your first appointment to complete new-patient paperwork. If you'd like to fill it out ahead of time, contact us and we can email it to you.

Insurance & Payment

Do you accept Delta Dental Premier?

Yes. Dr. Busby is an in-network provider for Delta Dental Premier. We file your claims directly with Delta and verify your benefits before your visit. Call us with your Delta member ID and we'll confirm your coverage.

What if I don't have insurance?

You're still welcome at Busby Dental. We offer fair, transparent self-pay pricing and can walk you through your options before any treatment begins. Many patients without insurance find our care affordable and easy to plan for.

Do you offer financing or payment plans?

Yes. For larger treatments, we partner with financing programs that offer flexible monthly payments, often with low or no interest for qualified patients. Ask our front-desk team for current options at your visit.

Appointments & Care

How often should I come in for a checkup?

For most patients, every six months. If you have specific concerns — gum disease, recent dental work, or a higher cavity risk — we may recommend more frequent visits. We'll discuss the right schedule for you at your exam.

Do you offer same-day or emergency appointments?

Yes — we reserve time daily for urgent visits. If you're in pain, have a knocked-out tooth, or have lost a filling or crown, call us at (405) 341-8518 right away and we'll get you scheduled as soon as possible.

I haven't been to the dentist in years — is that a problem?

Not at all. We see plenty of patients in this exact situation, and we never lecture or judge. We'll start with a comfortable exam, talk through what we see, and put together a plan that meets you where you are.

Do you see children?

Yes! We welcome patients of all ages, from a child's very first visit through every stage of growing up. Our team is patient, gentle, and experienced at making kids feel comfortable. Learn more about our pediatric care.
