Welcome to Busby Dental. Here's what to expect on your first visit, what to bring, and how we'll get to know you.
For more than a decade, our small Edmond practice has cared for the same families across generations. Your first visit is about getting to know you — your concerns, your goals, and any past dental experiences that shape how you feel about treatment.
We'll do a thorough exam, take any X-rays we need, clean your teeth if time allows, and walk through what we see. Nothing high-pressure, no surprise upsells — just an honest conversation and a plan that fits your situation.
We'll have you complete a brief health history and dental concerns form. To save time, you can fill these out in the office or call ahead and we'll email them to you.
Dr. Busby will do a full evaluation of your teeth, gums, bite, and oral tissues, including digital X-rays and an oral cancer screening.
If your gums are healthy and time allows, we'll do a routine cleaning the same day. If a deeper cleaning is needed, we'll schedule that visit and explain why.
We'll show you what we see, explain any concerns in plain language, and lay out your options — including doing nothing if that's appropriate.
Before any work beyond a routine visit, you'll receive a written estimate that includes what your insurance is likely to cover and your out-of-pocket cost.
We'll get you on the books for any follow-up care or your next routine cleaning, and our front desk will help with insurance, financing, or scheduling questions.
Dr. Busby is an in-network provider for Delta Dental Premier — we file your claims directly and verify your benefits before your visit. If you're uninsured, we offer fair self-pay pricing and flexible financing through CareCredit and Sunbit. Visit our Financial Information page for full details.
You're in good company. Many of our patients come to us after years of avoiding the dentist. We take it slow, explain everything before we do it, and offer sedation options when appropriate. Tell us what's worrying you — we'll work around it.
We see children of all ages and love welcoming the next generation of patients. For first visits, we recommend keeping the appointment short and positive. Parents are welcome to stay in the room.
